White Swan began with no product, audience, repeatable acquisition engine or operating history: only a memetic idea and the ambition to build a gamified DeFi platform on Solana. I joined as a founding team member and Growth Lead, then moved quickly into the General Manager role as the scope expanded.

A zero-to-one mandate

This was not a conventional growth role. The project needed product development, token-launch planning, legal and compliance work, listings, community, partnerships and market positioning to move together from the outset. In an early-stage crypto venture, those were not separate workstreams; every decision changed the others.

I took ownership across the ICO and token generation event blueprint, positioning, campaigns, partnerships, listings, product development, legal processes and stakeholder coordination. The task was to give a small, evolving project enough commercial and operational structure to move forward while remaining responsive to the market.

Leading across product, compliance and growth

As General Manager, I led a seven-person multidisciplinary team spanning product, engineering, legal and compliance, business development and marketing. My role combined strategic direction with cross-functional delivery: keeping decisions connected across a regulated token launch, a developing product proposition and an emerging community.

The project evolved from a memetic asset toward a gamified DeFi ecosystem. Community feedback became a practical input that shaped both messaging and the product’s evolution while the platform and launch plan continued to take shape.

Building the community hands-on

The first social and community channels were built hands-on. I worked directly on messaging, content, PR, campaigns and community engagement, then used the responses to sharpen the market narrative and inform product decisions.

As activity grew, I recruited highly engaged members into the Swanbassadors program. This extended community activation and operations without requiring a large fixed team, while giving committed participants a clearer role in the project’s development.

Taking a regulated product to launch

The work brought together the practical demands of a MiCA-compliant token launch with the broader challenge of creating a credible product and community proposition. Alongside launch execution, we introduced gamified DeFi products and built the operating foundations needed for the project’s next stage.

It required continuous switching between compliance, product, campaigns, partnerships and community. That was the core discipline of the mandate: translating a fast-moving idea into coordinated execution without losing sight of the regulatory and technical conditions around it.

From concept to market presence

From a standing start, White Swan grew to thousands of community members and token holders, completed a MiCA-compliant token launch and reached a $2.2M peak market capitalization.

The case demonstrates founder-style general management: building value, community and product momentum from zero while coordinating multidisciplinary work in a regulated environment.
